Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Unarmed Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a high-end residential location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for residents and guests. Your presence and courteous interaction will contribute to an elevated sense of community while you perform routine patrols. You will also provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism and reliability as part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the residential location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and address potential concerns.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management in accordance with the site's guidelines and policies.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for residents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
