As a Security Guard - Government Facility Driver in Soquel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random tours throughout the government location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related hazards encountered during rounds.
  • Adhere to all procedures and instructions provided for unarmed rounds assignments in a government setting.
  • Assist with access control and/or monitor entry points as required by the site.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Support emergency response efforts as directed, maintaining composure during challenging situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and/or baton certification is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
