As a Security Guard - Armed Government Site Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining high visibility, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while on duty as an armed patrol professional.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Document and report any unusual incidents, security-related concerns, and/or property damage encountered during patrols.
• Follow all client and Allied Universal protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while performing assigned duties.
• Assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors by providing directions and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
• Work in various environments and conditions as required by the location, adapting to changing situations as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years or more of prior law enforcement, military or adult corrections experience or a complete bachelors degree in Criminal Justice is required. 
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
