As a Security Professional - Government Patrol Driver PT in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment for all. In this primarily driving role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the area, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues discovered during patrols.
  • Document all incidents, patrols, and observations according to Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Support access control procedures, including verifying the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, as required.
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and/or local authorities as necessary to report incidents or request assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
