Job Description


As a Security Professional - Government Center - Evening Shift  in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for all. Your high visibility presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and maintain clear communication. You will build relationships with those on site, respond to incidents as needed, and work as part of a supportive team that values integrity, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including appropriate emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and security-related protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the general public in a professional manner, addressing inquiries and providing guidance as needed.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal policies and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and emergency response teams during critical incidents or drills as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Ability to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
