Job Description


As a Security Professional - Government Unarmed Patrols in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for everyone on site. By conducting routine patrols and maintaining a highly visible presence, you will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, observations, and security-related incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as appropriate to address issues arising during the shift.
  • Assist with access control procedures for staff, visitors, and residents to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Support a welcoming environment while helping to deter disruptive behavior in and around the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
