As a Security Guard - Government Perimeter Unarmed Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, offering prompt assistance, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will play a key part in fostering a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management, local authorities, and client representatives as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout assigned shifts to help to deter unauthorized individuals and promote a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Work environment may have limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack; comfort with these conditions is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
