Job Description


As a Security Professional -  Government Center - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a highly visible presence. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, and responding to situations with professionalism and excellent customer service. You will be part of a caring team environment that values reliability, innovation, and integrity, making a positive impact on those you interact with each day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual conditions.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site management, visitors, and other personnel to relay important information and/or report concerns.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location and monitor for any unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
  • Remain alert and attentive while on duty to observe and report any potential security-related issues or hazards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
