As a Security Officer - Mall Bike Patrol in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a premier retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for all visitors and tenants. Your strong presence and commitment to customer service will help to deter incidents and support a positive experience for everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within retail and mall locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for retail and mall settings.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential risks, being attentive to the unique environment of retail and mall locations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities clearly and accurately for management review.
• Work closely with location management and Allied Universal leadership to address site-specific needs and/or concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• A valid guard card and/or security license is preferred, subject to state, county, or city regulations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
