As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the location.
  • Verify credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of access control activities and report any anomalies or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel at Allied Universal.
  • Provide customer service to all individuals on site by addressing inquiries and explaining access control procedures as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols specific to the chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related threats and monitor for unusual activity.
  • Support emergency response activities as required and assist Allied Universal and on-site personnel in implementing emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
