As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Access Control in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a major chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Manage access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and visitor logs.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for all personnel and assets at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
