As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations within a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter incidents while remaining highly visible. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the facility.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to uphold site-specific policies.
• Maintain detailed logs of all visitors, deliveries, and/or incidents as required by the site procedures.
• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by responding to questions and assisting with directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity.
• Communicate any observed security-related concerns or unusual activity to the appropriate parties promptly.
• Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established procedures for the logistics and distribution environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
