Job Description


As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol Driver in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment in financial institution locations. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to engage with a variety of environments and clients. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols provided by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution's premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter inappropriate activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Report all incidents, observations, and suspicious activities according to Allied Universal and client site standards.
  • Collaborate with site management and local law enforcement as needed for security-related matters.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Allied Universal at the location.
  • Utilize communication tools and technology to document patrol activities and relay information as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must have prior supervisory experience.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
