Job Description


As a Security Professional - Tech/Media Patrol Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills foster positive interactions with employees and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner in a technology and media environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence while monitoring for unusual or suspicious behavior within the site.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal personnel to address security-related matters and/or incidents.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or concerns clearly and promptly according to site protocols.
  • Support a positive experience for staff, visitors, and guests by being approachable and responsive during routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
