Job Description


As a Security Professional - Patrol Driver Chemical/Petrochemical in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment by performing routine patrols and remaining visible throughout a chemical or petrochemical location. You will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, assisting visitors, and providing outstanding customer service while supporting a culture of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. This position requires driving as part of your duties, offering an engaging opportunity to make a positive impact and help protect people and property in a dynamic and innovative environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support security-related operations.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or maintenance issues during patrols, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to restricted areas.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client contacts regarding security-related matters encountered during shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
