Job Description


As a Security Professional - Industrial Communications in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a vital role in monitoring and coordinating security-related activities across the site. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining open communication with team members, and remaining highly visible to help to deter incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service and support to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Operate dispatch systems to monitor and coordinate security-related activities throughout the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear communication and direction to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the documentation and reporting of security-related incidents, maintaining accurate records as required by site-specific policies.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring security cameras and alarm systems, and by maintaining awareness of ongoing activities within the location.
  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by adhering to security-related procedures and client policies.
  • Collaborate with site teams and Allied Universal management in the coordination of emergency response activities as required.
  • Remain informed of site-specific procedures and updates, and communicate relevant information to security-related staff as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
