Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all individuals on site. This armed post involves conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in supporting a positive atmosphere, demonstrating integrity and teamwork while upholding our commitment to putting people first and adapting to dynamic situations with reliability and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while protecting people, property and information at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter, remaining alert to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and check identification to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted healthcare areas.
  • Perform security-related tasks such as monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and equipment, and reporting irregularities to supervisors.
  • Interact with visitors, staff and/or patients in a courteous and professional manner, assisting with directions and inquiries as needed.
  • Participate in drills, training sessions, and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident and/or activity reports as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related work, law enforcement, or military service.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
