As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Specialist Government in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol post.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter, noting and reporting any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities through visible security-related presence and professional conduct while on patrol.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel when necessary, following established communication protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid and current Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable regulations.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
