Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Manufacturing in Fountain Inn, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a manufacturing and industrial environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities include managing access points, assisting with badge verification, and responding to security-related incidents, all while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. By remaining visible and attentive, you help to deter incidents and support a culture built on integrity, teamwork, and people-first values. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or breaches in accordance with site-specific policies for a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by explaining and enforcing security-related procedures as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and providing appropriate assistance as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Communicate regularly with site leadership and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters or concerns affecting the location.
  • Perform security-related checks on vehicles and/or individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
  • Support emergency response activities by following site-specific procedures and coordinating with local emergency services when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
