What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity in or around the location to Allied Universal management and/or designated client representatives.
  • Assist in implementing emergency response activities as appropriate for the site.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and access control procedures as required by Allied Universal and the client.
  • Support the overall security-related functions of the location to help to create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
