As a Security Professional - Unarmed Telecom Patrol PT in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer, you will monitor and patrol designated tech and media locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, responding to alarms, and assisting with access control and badge procedures. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $18.19 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology and media location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe for irregularities, report incidents or suspicious behavior, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries, directions, and general information to support a welcoming environment.
  • Follow post orders and specific instructions provided by Allied Universal and site leadership, adapting to changing conditions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
