As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure working environment. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating company or client vehicles as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location as well as the surrounding perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities and/or security-related incidents.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
  • Document and communicate security-related events, hazards, and/or incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal management and local law enforcement as directed during emergencies or critical situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
