As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Cedar Fort, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting smooth operations at a leading food and beverage location. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points at the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by responding to inquiries and assisting with directions or information as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal policies.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and emergency responders as necessary.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting with evacuations or other procedures when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • A valid security-related guard card or license is preferred, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
