Job Description


As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in Stanford, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational campus, remaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to all students, staff, and visitors. Driving is a required aspect of this position. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and by responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity and reporting as needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas through visible presence and monitoring.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
  • Assist with access control by verifying authorization of individuals entering the premises as required by site policies.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders in the event of incidents.
  • Support a secure environment that promotes a positive atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors at the educational location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possession of a valid security-related guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
