As a Security Officer - Flex Chemical Patrol in Longview, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, observing for unusual or suspicious behavior that could impact the operations of a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities during patrols, reporting relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or client contacts as appropriate.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards commonly associated with chemical and petrochemical locations, and follow all site-specific protocols during patrols.
  • Provide visible presence at the location to help to deter possible security-related concerns and promote a professional atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
