Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to respond swiftly to situations and interact professionally with the public. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for an armed patrol position.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter, monitoring for irregularities and helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious conditions to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and the public in a professional manner, providing guidance and support as needed while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner for all patrol and incident activities.
  • Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents occurring at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • You must have Level III Armed Certification for roles in Texas.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
