As a Security Guard - Government Perimeter Patrols in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and approachable demeanor. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a secure environment.
• Report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unauthorized persons on site, following established protocols.
• Document and communicate incidents and/or suspicious activity according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Interact professionally and courteously with staff, visitors, and/or the public to address inquiries or provide directions as needed.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and the site management to support the security-related objectives of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Experience working at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
