Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor entry points, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence. Your role supports a secure and welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication, working as part of a reliable and agile team. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the premises by verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting individuals with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to observe and report security-related issues.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, irregularities, or situations as required by Allied Universal policies and client site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and coordinate with local emergency services when necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of logistics and distribution operations to support the security-related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
