As a Security Officer – Healthcare Patrol Response in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols throughout the hospital, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service while interacting with staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including those applicable to healthcare environments.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns, with attention to the unique needs of a healthcare location.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain order within the facility.
  • Support emergency response activities, including guiding individuals during drills and/or real emergencies, as directed by Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities and security-related incidents as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of required vaccinations for hospital environments is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue environments is required.
  • Ability to safely restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
