Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Front Desk in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will play a crucial role in providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents through attentive monitoring of entry points and interaction with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and authorizations for entry as required by site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to a healthcare environment.
  • Assist with security-related customer service by providing information, directions, and support to individuals at the location.
  • Report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or management.
  • Support emergency response activities at the front desk as outlined in site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
