As a Security Professional - Government Site Patrol - Badge Check in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, staying visible, and engaging with the public while providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Assist visitors and/or employees with directions and information related to the location.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required and proof may be requested by the client.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
