As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Access Control in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and patrolling designated areas. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Provide customer service by assisting individuals with directions, site-specific policies, and answering questions related to access control procedures.
• Carry out security-related procedures and respond to alarms or incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activities by observing and reporting any unusual behavior or conditions.
• Maintain detailed logs and records of access control activities, incidents, and visitor information as required by site policies.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to communicate important information regarding access and emergency protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter to monitor for security-related concerns and help to deter potential incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of five years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
