What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Maintain high visibility throughout the location, particularly in public areas, to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to the public.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical access points, verifying identification and authorization as required.
  • Report and document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific standards.
  • Interact professionally with the public, employees, and/or contractors, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a courteous and approachable manner.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to potential security-related threats or emergencies in accordance with established protocols for government locations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possess a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
