As a Security Officer Armed Transportation Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders, adhering to all applicable local and organizational guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when possible.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, including transportation areas and facilities.
  • Monitor for and report suspicious activity to help to deter criminal or unauthorized behavior within the transportation environment.
  • Assist with access control and verification of credentials for individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Prepare clear and concise written reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed to support incident response at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
