Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Bike in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and engaging with the public to provide outstanding customer service and communication. This post requires you to be armed and able to patrol the area, including riding a bike as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols, both armed and unarmed, around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and help maintain a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious persons or activities.
  • Prepare detailed incident and patrol reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying credentials and authorizations for entry into designated areas.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary and provide clear communication during incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times to help to deter potential threats within the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • A valid Armed Guard Card or license is required in accordance with state and/or local regulations.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to ride a bike as part of their duties.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
