As a Security Officer Flex Dispatch Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in monitoring and coordinating security-related operations. Your responsibilities include managing access control, responding to incidents, and communicating vital information to on-site teams to help to deter potential incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and operate dispatch communication systems to coordinate security-related responses within the financial institution location.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming calls and requests, prioritizing and directing them to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Document and report incidents, suspicious activities, and/or emergencies according to established site-specific procedures.
  • Collaborate with on-site security-related personnel to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Provide customer service by answering inquiries and assisting clients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner.
  • Assist in coordinating emergency response activities and communicate critical information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed records of shift activities and incident reports as required by site policies.
  • Support regular communication checks and follow up on all dispatched calls to help promote appropriate response and resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
  • Have experience with access control or badge systems, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
