Job Description


As a Security Guard - Residential Patrol Driver in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned residential locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the property, maintain a visible presence, and build positive relationships with residents and guests. This role requires driving as part of your duties. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community and around its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and activities according to Allied Universal guidelines and client requirements.
  • Assist residents, guests, and visitors with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible security-related presence at the location.
  • Collaborate with property management and other team members to support a secure environment and address resident concerns as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
