As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and manage access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry into buildings and restricted areas within the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and report any irregularities.
  • Assist in managing visitor and contractor check-in and check-out processes, verifying identification and credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support Allied Universal and client emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and/or emergency responders as needed, providing information in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
