Job Description


As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Access Monitor in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in monitoring and controlling entry points at a prominent chemical and petrochemical location. You will conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents, maintain a visible presence, and support a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points at the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting, following established procedures.
  • Assist with implementing site-specific security-related policies and procedures to help maintain the integrity of the chemical and petrochemical facility.
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to incidents, emergencies, and/or alarms, initiating the appropriate response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and giving directions as needed.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, activities, and/or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as required to support chemical and petrochemical operational protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as required by the client.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
