Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Leader in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned government locations to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter potential security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment and resources.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor and assess potential security-related concerns, reporting observations and incidents according to established protocols.
  • Interact with the public, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner while enforcing site rules and guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or activities to the appropriate authorities.
  • Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and equipment in accordance with company policy and local regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Hold an active armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
