Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in helping to deter security-related incidents within an aerospace and defense environment. Your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and interacting positively with employees and visitors to provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, where your professionalism and commitment to Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity will help create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for everyone at the location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Carry out regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, taking appropriate actions as needed.
  • Maintain a visible armed presence while on patrol to help to deter threats or disruptive behavior in an aerospace and defense location.
  • Document and report all security-related activities, observations, and incidents according to established procedures.
  • Work closely with site management and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting in evacuations and/or lockdowns, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and potential risks, adapting to varying working environments and conditions specific to the site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid firearms permit is required.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
