As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Front Desk in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Greet visitors and employees in a professional manner at the front desk of the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting with directions or information about the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Observe and report any security-related concerns or unusual activity to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders relevant to the front desk operations.
  • Assist with managing deliveries and coordinating with facility staff for authorized access as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and applicants must provide proof upon request by the client.
  • At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
