Job Description


As a Security Guard - Petrochemical Patrol Driver in Wheatfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You'll play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards in the environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions, including those specific to chemical and petrochemical environments, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of individuals entering or exiting the location.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures related to the handling, storage, or monitoring of sensitive materials as required by the location.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding any incidents, concerns, or site-specific issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of all patrol activities, incidents, and observations during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
