Job Description


As a Security Officer - Retail Dispatch Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a vibrant retail or mall location, you will play a critical role in monitoring and coordinating security-related operations. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents, and respond promptly to calls for assistance. Your strong communication skills and commitment to teamwork will be essential in providing exceptional customer service to guests, tenants, and colleagues. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications using dispatch systems to support security-related operations at the retail or mall location.
  • Coordinate response to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, dispatching personnel as needed.
  • Maintain logs and records of calls and incidents for site-specific reporting requirements.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or tenants by following site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal security-related personnel and on-site teams to relay important information and updates.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized activities by monitoring surveillance systems and/or alarm panels.
  • Support emergency response activities by promptly alerting appropriate personnel and coordinating resources as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
