Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Vaccines Patrol in Erie, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a positive atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment by conducting routine rounds, staying visible, responding to situations as needed, and providing exceptional customer service. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in a clear and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support the overall operation of the location.
  • Assist with crowd control, visitor management, and/or access points as needed during peak periods or special events within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations as mandated by the hospital client and/or applicable law.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes duties in sensitive areas such as the morgue.
  • Must be able to safely restrain individuals as part of hospital security-related responsibilities.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
