Job Description


As a Security Officer - Patient Transport in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

The Transportation Specialist will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to an assigned customer. The Transportation Specialist will act as a liaison between customers, Operation Managers and security officers. They will supervise site staff and provide coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as required.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior by conducting regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual activity in and around the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed to address incidents and support a secure environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, patrols, and incident reports according to site and Allied Universal requirements.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points, checking identification, and verifying authorization when appropriate within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
