Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Aero/Defense in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer in the aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post. You will engage with personnel and visitors, provide exceptional customer service, and respond to incidents as needed. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards, providing customer service to staff and visitors at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, deploying de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
  • Perform regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns discovered during patrols or while on post.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including coordination with local law enforcement and/or emergency services.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related issues encountered during the shift.
  • Remain alert and observant at all times while on duty, maintaining a professional presence in an aerospace and defense environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or hold a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or an equivalent program.
  • Hold an active Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Hold an active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
  • Hold a law enforcement officer license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
