As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Government Site in Aurora, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for routine patrols and quick response to situations as they arise, leveraging your training and awareness to maintain a secure environment. Pay Rate: $27.30 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and when appropriate, engaging in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities regarding any incidents or security-related matters.
  • Document observations and incidents thoroughly in daily activity reports and/or incident reports as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with access control procedures for visitors, employees, and contractors in accordance with location-specific guidelines.
  • Remain alert to unusual or suspicious activities and respond according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Hold a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
