Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine driving patrols throughout the residential community to help to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors. Your presence will contribute to a secure environment as you respond to service calls, support access control measures, and offer outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability while adapting to the unique needs of this dynamic residential location. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Conduct routine and random patrols throughout residential buildings and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations within the residential location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any suspicious activity or potential security-related issues.
  • Collaborate with property management and/or emergency services when required, following established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities while on patrol.
  • Offer assistance and clear guidance to residents and visitors to support a welcoming and secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least six months of security-related experience is required.
  • Possess customer service experience, preferred.
  • Possess access control and badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
