As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Pro in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, you will play a vital role in creating a secure environment by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. Your focus will be on helping to deter security-related incidents while offering exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents encountered during patrols at the shelter location.
• Interact professionally with shelter staff, residents, and visitors while maintaining a visible security-related presence.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and onsite personnel to support security-related operations at the location.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a CPR certification. Preference will be given to candidates with this certification.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Preference will be given to candidates with this skill.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
